Country Session in Oldtown: Rebecca | Senior

“Barns, feilds, and tractors.” I read the message off my phone and smiled. Joy and excitement started filling me up. Monica had let me know the location for the session and I was so excited! Anything country, romantic, and rustic has a little place in my heart. I’ll be honest, I am the furthest thing from a country girl but, I can’t get enough of it.

As we rode up to Diane’s house (the location for the shoot) my mind began to explode with ideas. Everything I had written down prior to the shoot just went out the window. I WAS IN LOVE! When you reach the Oldtown area it’s nothing but horses, cows, chickens – you name it these people had it!

I was so honored and happy to do this session because Monica’s son, Ben, was my first ever senior session! I think I did something right because she came back for her daughters portraits!

ben1 The cows as our audience, we started shooting. Becca was so relaxed in front of the camera and even some of the animals wanted in on the fun!

Fun fact: Shortly after this was taken, a couple of the animals figured “hey what a perfect time to mate!” Probably the most interesting and weirdest thing to happen during a session.

We made our way to one of Diane’s neighbors farm whom we had permission to shoot at which I am so thankful for! They had so many lovely places to shoot and they even let us take photos with their horses!
59I had such a blast shooting with Rebecca and Monica! Even with the interesting things that happened I had a ton of fun! Thank you Monica for letting me work with you again, Diane for allowing me to use your beautiful home, and to Diane’s neighbors as well! Thank you so much!
